‘Idiot’ Australian performs death-defying backflip stunt

An Australian man has narrowly escaped death after performing a heart-racing backflip off a roof into a swimming pool several metres away.
Daredevil Brodie Sciberras, from Perth, Western Australia, was just inches away from smashing his head against the floor in what could have been a fatal accident.
The stunt, filmed by his friend Callum Lloyd, 22, shows Brodie contemplating the three metre jump for an agonising minute and 19 seconds before he makes the death-defying leap to safety.
In the video, Callum can be heard saying the distance is ‘far’ and impatiently waits for his friend’s dangerous feat adding: ‘You’ve got to do something. I’m filming’.
Others taunt Brodie, insisting that he can’t make it while Callum laughs saying: ‘You could die, I don’t want to watch!’

The video, which has been viewed over 52,000 times, describes the jump as a ‘close call from a 3 metre roof to pool jump’.
Many have commented in outrage, calling Brodie an idiot.
‘If that jump was a foot shorter his brains would be all over that tile. I hope he quits while he’s ahead, or still has one,’ one YouTube said, while another commented, ‘What a f***ing idiot. He could have died.’
Shortly after the foolish act, the stuntman changed his Facebook profile picture where his friend Martine Martine commented, ‘That’s the smile of a man that survived the most insane flip ever!!! Haha’.
